About the CEO
I am Jill Hooper, the owner of EDU Leader by Design. I am on a 36+ year journey in education and related fields. My passion has always been to find ways for people to work together to better the lives and opportunities of students and families. As a former competitive swimmer and coach, I learned the benefit of perseverance, hard work and the impact you can have on others through genuine relationships. I took those skills into my education experience. I have worked with elementary and secondary students beginning as a special educator, transition specialist and job coach. I have administered grant funded programs for students with disabilities as well as at-risk youth. I have also had the privilege of partnering with individuals across all walks of life in districts with low socioeconomic status as well as more affluent districts in both Florida and Colorado. I have served as a teacher, special education supervisor and building administrator. I am excited to write my next chapter of work by supporting districts, schools and building leaders to Lead by Design not by Default.
